This is Tink's new kitten, Tulip, whom we brought home yesterday from the Huron Valley Humane Society (thanks in part to Diane who chose Tink "the cuddliest, cutest one.").
She is 1.8 pounds of cute and all we could do all afternoon was stare and coo.
"How long have we been sitting here watching her?" Tink asked.
"An hour," I replied.
Tink sighed. "Oh boy," she said. "This is going to ruin my writing career."

And now you've got me staring at her cuteness and ignoring my work ... of course, you can always claim that kitties sitting on your lap is "thinking time."
What an adorable kitten. Don't you just want to hold her and cuddle her all day? I so like the name too. Was she already named when you got her or was Tulip the name that Tink gave her?
I want a kitten too.
Here I shall quote myself, in Tink's defense: "Just because I haven't written anything dosn't mean I'm not writ-ING!"
Cutest kitten ever! We just got a dog and she's wonderful, but she's not a teeny-tiny kitten!
tink, you are priceless!
thankfully i wrote tons today and yesterday so now i can stare at the kitteh, guilt free.
...And then yesterday, she licked Destructo's toes. So, yes, we are all 3 of us spending the summer staring at kitteh.
Thorp, I make great use of that distinction, as in "I am writing this book..." when by "writing" I mean "pondering."
Cute! Both Tink and Tulip. We're getting kittens later this summer after our camping trip (because you know, if we got them now, we couldn't take them camping because the bears and coyotes and cougars will smell them in our tent and eat them up -- so says my daughter).
