Welcome to week 3 of our Remedial Lit Summer Project, which features East of Eden.Go ahead; tell them. Tell them you read the whole thing already. Tell them your children had Cheddar Bunnies for dinner, and dust flies through your house like tumbleweeds. Tell them you haven't written a word for five days even though you only have one chapter left to revise before your novel is finished.
This is where we can discuss East of Eden, or whatever you are reading this week.Apologize for cheating and reading ahead, but tell them East of Eden was just that good.
Have fun.

Grrr.
Is that a grr because you are still mired in DQ? I would totally support abandoning ship if you are hating it.
Or grr because I neglected everything else in my life to finish E of E?
The latter. : ) I love Don Quixote, to be honest, which makes it tougher to read quickly ...
Would you believe I'm still reading Moby *expletive deleted*? Although, I am over halfway finished, I'm finding some really nice adventurey bits, and I actually stayed up last night to read some more.
Now if I can just get past this next part contrasting sperm whale and right whale heads....
(Ha ha. You think I'm kidding. You'll see soon enough. It's your penance for dragging me into this project.)
Finally finished Don Quixote late last night. So tired. My thoughts are here.
Finished The Great Gatsby last night. Lovely! Comments are pending; started Slaughterhouse Five. Should be ready for Moby Dick tomorrow, if that's still your plan.
Wow. You are a machine. Moby Dick slows things down a bit, though...
Will be interested to hear your thoughts on the others.
