If you ask Destructo what he wants to be when he grows up, he usually says, "Roger Federer." Or "Batman." But this morning, he was playing near the bookshelves and he announced, in a voice full of admiration:
"Mama, when I grow up, I am going to be a LIBRARIAN."

Awww. Will he be a caped librarian?
That's awesome! And so are librarians! Who wouldn't want to spend all day in the library? (It's just dealing with public funding and gubment bureaucracy that might drive me nuts.)
Yes! That's wonderful. I hope he follows through on his aspiration.
Dorky comic book idea #563: A caped librarian superhero who access to volumes of knowledge and trivia enable him to foil criminal masterminds. Like a grade-school MacGyver, only geekier, with tights.
Debbie #1, that is awesome. And Thorp, that is totally my kind of superhero.
Diane, exactly.
Debbie #2, me too. Though right now, quiet and order are not exactly his strong suits...
Free-associating now... Did you ever hear of The Three Investigators series when you were growing up? So good: http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Three_Investigators
AWSOME!!! (sung in a madeleine kahn voice)
Good for Destructo! My youngest occasionally says that too. And there are days I wish that was the career path I had chosen.
